Living in Goa, Dattaraj Salgaocar holds key positions in several prestigious institutions and organizations. He is the chairman of the Board of Trustees at Sharada Mandir School in Panaji, Goa, and has been involved in trade organizations such as the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Goa Mineral Ore Exporters' Association.
