BluPine Energy led by Neerav Nanavaty has secured Rs 239 crore financial assistance from Tata Capital, a flagship financial services company of Tata Group. BluPine is a leading renewable energy services company which will utilise the amount towards a solar power project in Chhattisgarh. Neerav Nanavaty has been the CEO of the company since November 2021.
He has over two decades of experience in the energy sector across North America and India. Neerav has worked with the world’s renowned green energy companies, leading all activities across renewables and energy services. He holds a degree in Electronics Engineering from NIT, Karnataka, and earned his MBA in Finance/Strategy from Duke University, USA. He began his career at Citicorp as a Consultant in 1993.
Before joining BluPine, he was the CEO of ENGIE India for nearly two years. Besides, he held various positions at ENGIE North America Inc. where he worked for 13.6 years (2001 to 2014). Neerav is passionate about driving the energy transition in India. With a proven track record, he has contributed significantly to leading green energy companies worldwide, overseeing operations in renewables and energy services.
The 75-megawatt project BluPine Energy is expected to generate nearly 117 million units (MUs) of energy annually and offset more than 107,000 tonnes of Co2 emissions, it said. The company was established in India by Actis, a global investor and world leader in funding and building sustainable infrastructure companies.
