Bharat Hari Singhania is an industrialist and chairman of JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd (JKLC). The company is a part of a diversified group JK Organisation with a USD 4 billion turnover. Singhania has over six decades of experience in managing various industries including automotive tyres, paper, synthetics and others.
JKLC has a market capitalisation of Rs 7,604 crore as of August 28, 2023. The share price of the company was Rs 646.75 on Monday. The company generated a revenue of Rs 6,071.05 crore in the financial year ended March 31, 2023.
Presently, Singhania is the chairman of the company since October 2021. He held the position of Chairman and Managing Director of the company till September 2021. Singhania was appointed as Vice Chairman and Managing Director in December 2001. He became Chairman of the Board of Directors of JK Lakshmi Cement Limited in May 2013. Singhania is also the president of the JK Organisation since 2015.
Under his leadership, JK Lakshmi Cement has undertaken multiple capacity expansion projects including expanding the company portfolio through value-added products in addition to commissioning the first phase of the Greenfield Project at Durg. Singhania also contributed immensely to the rise of overall production capacity.
