Motilal Oswal built the company in 1987. He was born in Barmer’s Padru. His father was a grain trader. Oswal completed his graduation from SPU Jain College and did CA in Mumbai.
Oswal oversaw customer service, human resources, operations, and growth. Oswal is associated with various social organisations. He is the President of the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) and a Trustee of "Agarwal-Oswal Chhatravas" of the Rajasthan Vidyarthi Griha; among others.
According to ET Markets, the current market capitalisation of Motilal Oswal Financial Services is Rs 13,444 crore.
