36-year-old Saumya Singh Rathore has made her name as a successful businesswoman in Delhi NCR. Saumya featured in the most recent Kotak Private Banking Hurun Leading Wealthy Women list.
Saumya is one of the nine self-made startup entrepreneurs in the list. In 2021, just 3 years after founding WinZO, the company reached a reported valuation of $366 million when it raised its Series C round of funding.
Saumya co-founded WinZO, a leading social gaming app with monetary benefits, with an ex-colleague Paavan Nanda in 2018. She had a long corporate career before turning an entrepreneur alongside Nanda, who had previous experience of co-founding a startup.
WinZo hit the jackpot by roping in cricket legend and one of India’s most popular celebrities MS Dhoni to endorse their brand. It also bagged a deal with Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Rider (KKR).
Saumya is a trained psychologist with a PG degree from UK’s University of Manchester. She began her career with the multinational KPMG in London. She later joined the budding Indian startup ecosystem and held various roles in Zo Rooms and Zostel.
