Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Jio has announced a series of new unlimited 5G plans. The new plans will be available to customers from July 3. Jio is India’s largest telecom provider which is headed by Mukesh Ambani's son Akash Ambani. The company has hiked tariffs by 12.5-25 per cent. The new tariff plans range from Rs 189 for 2 GB per month to Rs 3,599 for 2.5 GB per day annual plan. These plans include unlimited 5G data for all plans with 2GB/day and above.

Jio will always put our country and customer first and will continue to invest for India,” Akash Ambani said.

The traffic hike comes after the conclusion of the spectrum auction on Wednesday. Reliance Jio, which had put a maximum EMD of Rs 3000 crore, spent a mere Rs 970 crore.
