Mukesh Ambani’s Rs 17 trillion firm, Reliance Industries, has partnered with Vikram Oberoi to lead The Oberoi Hotels and Resorts. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries is India’s most valuable company and it is involved in a wide range of sectors through its subsidiaries. Hospitality is in the sector in which Mukesh Ambani aims to be big and he has now partnered with Vikram Oberoi to manage a few of his luxury properties. With the partnership, Oberoi group is now responsible for managing three key properties owned by Mukesh Ambani in India and the UK. This means that Vikram Oberoi’s firm will now be managing the iconic Stoke Park in UK which was bought by Mukesh Ambani in 2021 for more than Rs 500 crore. Spread over 300-acre, the property was built in 1066 and developed in 1760.
Mukesh Ambani’s Rs 500 crore property includes a hotel, sports facilities and one of the highest rated golf courses in Europe. Oberoi will assist with Reliance to upgrade the facilities. The plans include a comprehensive upgrade of Stoke Park, including golf and other sports facilities, are under preparation.
Apart from this, Oberoi will also manage Anant Vilas that has been conceived as the first metro-centric property as part of the iconic luxury ‘Vilas’ portfolio run by Oberoi. Anant Vilas is located in the bustling business district of Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai which is fast becoming a mixed use destination with business, hospitality, shopping, F&B, arts and culture, educational and residential uses and high footfall of citizens and visitors to the city.
Mukesh Ambani is also investing on an unnamed hotel project in Gujarat and ahead of its official launch, Oberoi has signed a deal to manage it.
