Ride-hailing app GrabTaxi rebrand to Grab, look for further expansion

The company has rebranded itself to Grab and promises to continue to build the transport platform that makes life better.

Southeast Asian E-Hailing app GrabTaxi has rebranded to Grab. The company which started out as a taxi booking app built itself to a fuller transport platform to serve Southeast Asia by providing cars, bikes and deliveries.

The company has rebranded itself to Grab and promises to continue to build the transport platform that makes life better. 

"We promise to provide you with safe and reliable transport options, striving to deliver 7 star service everyday."

The rebranding was launched by Grab's co-founders Anthony tan and Tan hoo Ling, according to CNN.

The company started off as a taxi hailing service in 2012 and evolved to offer private cars services in GrabCar, motorcycle taxis in GrabBike, fast delivery in GrabExpress and helicopter rides in GrabHeli.

"We're no longer just a taxi app. Whatever you need — whether you need a taxi, car, bike, or limo — we'll be there," said Tan to CNN.

The company is enhancing its mobile app to ensure that users get the best experience while booking their rides or deliveries.
