Sensex recovers to end seven points higher

The BSE Sensex has been down by 60 points in the intra-noon trade, as the weakness in the global market persists.

MUMBAI: The Sensex, recovered from the day's low levels on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday, on emergence of buying by institutional investors and closed with a gain of over seven points.

The Sensex, which remained low throughout the day and touched a low of 10,646.65 points, closed with a gain of 7.78 points at 10,751.66. Though, earlier in the day it had touched a high of 10,777.47.

Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index, Nifty closed higher by 4.60 points at 3147.80, after moving between 3113.60 and 3154.70 points.
