Singapore Airlines announced special holiday fares including taxes and surcharges to the city state as well as low fares for destinations in the US, China and Australia but the bookings have to be done in seven days.
The all-inclusive ticket to Singapore will now be available at Rs 11,000, while that to Beijing, Canton and Shanghai in China will cost a nominal Rs 22,000, Perth at Rs 25,000, an airline spokesperson said, adding that these tickets would be valid for travel till September 30.
The other destinations in Australia would cost Rs 36,000 and for US it would charge Rs 45,000, she said.
The ticket prices, which consist of the airfare along with the applicable taxes and surcharges, would be non-refundable and no change of date would be allowed, she said, adding however that the prices would be subject to changes due to currency exchange fluctuations.
The airline claimed that the fare for Singapore was discounted by 55 per cent, for the American cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston by 27 per cent, for the three Chinese cities by 47 per cent and for the four Australian cities by 26 per cent.
Those travelling beyond Singapore would also be able to access a Singapore stopover package at a minor additional cost, the spokesperson said.
Singapore Airlines general manager India CW Foo said the ticket prices would be "a great opportunity for our customers to make the most of their summer vacations and also plan for getaways during the upcoming monsoon season."
