Tata Sky launches 'World Screen', offers global content in Rs 75 for 30 days

Tata Sky on Wednesday launched World Screen, a value-added service that offers customers handpicked global content.

The new service from Tata Sky could be availed from Rs 75 per month for a period of 30 days. 

Customers can aget access through the content from both set-top boxes as well as Tata Sky mobile app. It would also be availablel at the Tata Sky website. 

As mentioned the entertainment content would be global in nature and would be available in many international languages including Arabic, Russian, Spanish, Belgium, Israel, Cuba, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Swahili, among others. 

However, the company would also be providing the English subtitles and in some cases, the videos would also be dubbed in English. 

Tata Sky World Screen would also contain critically accalaimed international movies across all generes. Some of the movies the company would offer are Wallander, Happy Valley, Code 37, Team Chocolate, Prisoners of War, and Babylon Berlin and two movie premiers a month from world cinema. 

The content would offer over 650 curated hours of entertainment in general, though, as specified in the release. 

"Our analysis indicates that consumption patterns are evolving, and there is an audience looking for exciting and diverse content, unconstrained by language. Our handpicked list includes some of the most popular and critically acclaimed movies and TV shows across the world, a lot of which has never been seen on TV before in India," said Arun Unni, Chief Content Officer, Tata Sky.
