Deepika Padukone, apart from being one of the leading actresses of Bollywood, is also leading a massive business empire, where she invests in small businesses and takes them to new heights. One of the businesses that she helped through her investments is owned by Anmol Singh Jaggi.
Anmol Singh Jaggi is an entrepreneur who owns multiple businesses. With the help of Deepika Padukone’s help in his most recent venture, Anmol Jaggi is now giving tough competition to ride-sharing services such as Ola and Uber.
Anmol Singh Jaggi joined hands with Puneet Jaggi and Punit Goyal to form BluSmart, a ride-sharing company using electric vehicles, reducing the reliance on petrol and diesel, causing less pollution and conserving fossil fuel.
This venture is aimed at breaking the reign of ride-sharing applications Ola and Uber across India. Founded in 2019, BluSmart cabs already has a revenue of over Rs 30 crore per year, and is seeing massive popularity in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
However, BluSmart is not the only multi-crore company run by Anmol Jaggi. The serial entrepreneur is also the CEO of another successful startup with a valuation of over Rs 1400 crore -- Gensol engineering, which is turning over more profit each year.
The unique concept of Anmol Jaggi’s BluSmart cabs caught the eye of Deepika Padukone, and she ended up investing in the e-mobility startup. Deepika Padukone, along with other businesses in the first round of fundraising, invested over Rs 24.79 crore.
Now, Anmol Jaggi’s unique startup company BluSmart cabs has raised over USD 42 million dollars in its A2 round of funding, and its total valuation currently stands at USD 250 million (Rs 2066 crore), according to Tracxn.
Anmol Jaggi’s firm BluSmart has now posed major competition to not just Ola and Uber, but also Tata’s electric vehicle market, expected to make a major impact in the ride sharing industry.
