Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation plans to sell 73,000 vehicles in India in 2010 and 145,000 vehicles next year, a company executive said on Wednesday.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the joint venture between the Japanese automaker and India's Kirloskar group, already sells the premium utility vehicle Innova and luxury sedan Corolla Altis in the Indian market.

The launch of the Etios sedan on Wednesday, and a hatchback version starting April 2011 will be the Japanese automaker's lowest-priced products in the Indian auto market.
