US stock indexes rose 1 percent at the open on Thursday as more monetary stimulus from the Federal Reserve aimed at boosting the ailing economy fuelled investor risk appetite.                                            The Dow Jones industrial average gained 124.84 points, or 1.11%, to 11,339.97. The Standard & Poor's 500 rose 14.57 points, or 1.22%, to 1,212.53. The Nasdaq Composite added 36.15 points, or 1.42%, to 2,576.42.
The S&P 500 daily moving average convergence-divergence chart triggered a buy signal for the first time since October 18, but its relative strength index (RSI) jumped near 75. An RSI reading above 70 indicates an overbought level.
