Consumer durables maker Whirlpool of India, the Indian unit of global appliances maker Whirlpool Corp, plans to hike product prices by 2-3% in the next two months, a top official said."Input prices have gone up and another price increase is on the anvil... probably in the range of 2-3%, however we don't see that impacting growth in any way," Shantanu Dasgupta, vice-president, corporate affairs and strategy, told Reuters over a Weekend interview.The firm has also revised its investment in India to Rs4 billion over three years, starting this fiscal. In November the firm had earmarked Rs3 billion for the same period.At 10.14am, shares of the firm were up 1.51% at Rs262.9 in a firm Mumbai market.
