Here's are highlights of the Asia Cup 2018 match between India and Bangladesh.

11:43 PM

This has been a comprehensive victory for India. The result was never in doubt.

The stars of the show have been Ravindra Jadeja for his four-for and skipper Rohit Sharma for his unbeaten 83.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah also contributed with three wickets apiece, and Shikhar Dhawan (40) and MS Dhoni (33) got some runs under their belts.

11:43 PM

INDIA WIN BY 7 WICKETS AND 82 BALLS TO SPARE

11:38 PM

OUT!

What an anticlimax!

Dhoni tries to finish the match with a bang but ends up walking back to the pavilion.

He finishes the match with a boundary so often and tried to do the same now.

He stepped out and went for a six, but the ball got the edge of the bat and went straight to deep covers. Dhoni perishes for 33 from 37. Skipper Mortaza has his first wicket.

India still need four runs to win.

11:34 PM

India need just 4 more runs to win from 90 balls and with 8 wickets remaining.

What a dominating performance this has been from Rohit Sharma and his men.

11:25 PM

A lot of credit must be given to Rohit. He's played a captain's knock, making sure he stays right till the end.

Rohit goes for an unexpected, wild stroke but misses. Dhoni walks up to him to calm him down.

India need 13 runs more. The end is near, my friends.

Rohit is batting on 78, Dhoni is on 28.

IND - 161/2 after 33 overs.

11:20 PM

Vintage Dhoni!

Mortaza drops it slightly short, Dhoni uses his mighty wrists to punch/cut/drive it past covers for four. There was a sweeper but he never had a chance. The crowd in the stadium cannot keep calm!

And with that, India's 150 comes up.

Another boundary!

Mortaza bowls a no ball, Dhoni pulls the free-hit straight back for a four. That went like a rocket! The umpire and bowler were lucky to not get hit.

These two shots will give a lot of confidence to the legend.

The fifty-run stand between Rohit and Dhoni is also up.

IND - 159/2 after 32 overs.

11:08 PM

Rohit pulls another one to the fence. It was a boundary this time, though.

Rubel Hossain bangs in short and Rohit smacks it for four.

India need 32 more runs to win.

IND - 142/2 after 30 overs.

11:00 PM

Dhoni gets his first boundary with an outside edge that runs away to the third man fence.

India are cruising towards victory, just 44 more runs needed.

IND - 130/2 after 28 overs.

10:49 PM

10:49 PM

SIX!

There's no stopping Rohit!

Shakib drops it short again, the Indian captain pulls it for a maximum again.

11 runs came from that over.

IND - 117/2 after 25 overs.

10:46 PM

OUT!

Rubel Hossain has gotten rid of Ambati Rayudu.

The right-hander went for an awkward square-cut, the ball took the inside-edge and Mushfiqur Rahim took a good low catch.

The umpire said not-out and there was no appeal from the bowler. But Rahim was convinced there was an edge and asked for a review. DRS confirmed his conviction and Bangladesh had their second wicket.

Rayudu walks back for 13 off 28.

And surprise, surprise. Not Dinesh Karthik, but Mahendra Singh Dhoni has walked out to bat at No.4.

IND - 106/2 AFTER 24 OVERS.

10:39 PM

SIX!

Rohit Sharma brings up his half-century with another pull for six. An effortless shot from the Indian captain.

This has been a mature innings from Rohit, he has waited for the bad balls and shown tremendous patience.

IND - 105/1 after 23 overs.

10:35 PM

Rubel Hossain joins the attack. The right-arm quick gives away three runs from his first over.

Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan has finished his ten overs. The off-spinner, who opened the bowling for Bangladesh, gave away 38 runs and didn't get any wicket.

IND - 97/1 after 22 overs.

10:31 PM

Rayudu survives!

A loose shot from the right-hander but the ball falls safely. He went for a drive on the front foot but the ball ballooned up and landed behind covers.

Shakib is bowling well here, inducing several false shots.

IND - 93/1 after 21 overs.

10:22 PM

Shakib gives away just a single from his fifth over.

Time for a drinks break.

IND - 79/1 after 19 overs.

10:17 PM

SIX!

Rohit gets his first maximum of the innings.

A quintessential Rohit pull for six. Shakib drops it slightly short and the Indian captain latches on to it.

Rohit perished cheaply in India's first match of the tournament against Hong Kong, he made up for that with a fine fifty against arch rivals Pakistan. He seems to be in the mood today as well.

IND - 75/1 after 17 overs.

10:14 PM

Ambati Rayudu joins Rohit Sharma at the crease for India.

The right-hander gets his first boundary with a sweep against Hasan. Risky shot so early in the innings, but well executed.

IND - 68/1 after 16 overs.

10:07 PM

OUT!

Dhawan was struggling against Shakib and he has finally fallen.

The left-hander goes for a sweep and misses it. The ball strikes him plumb in front.

Dhawan walks up to Rohit to ask whether a review should be taken. The captain is emphatic in saying that the ball was dead straight. One doesn't get to see such an honest opinion in terms of the DRS. And the skipper was right, the replays confirmed that Dhawan was indeed out.

10:07 PM

Mehidy Hasan has bowled well with the new ball. There's no doubt about it. The off-spinner has bowled seven overs on the trot from the start and troubled both batsmen. Unlucky to not have a wicket to show for his efforts. He's conceded just 20 runs so far.

IND - 61/0 after 14 overs.

10:03 PM

Dhawan is fancying the left-arm spin of Shakib. But he's struggling to time the ball because he's going too hard at it.

There's absolutely no need for the Indian openers to do anything expansive at this point.

IND - 58/0 after 13 overs.

09:52 PM

Pathetic attempt at getting a wicket from Bangladesh.

Dhawan mistimes one from Shakib Al Hasan and the ball loops towards mid-wicket.

Mehidy Hasan dives forward and collects the ball, with his teammates going up for a catch.

The umpires take a review and give not out as the soft signal.

The replay shows that Hasan got hold of the ball with his palms facing the ground and the ball squeezed between his hands and the grass.

It's hard to imagine how a fielder cannot know that the ball has hit the ground when the 'catch' is taken the way Hasan took it.

IND - 53/0 after 11 overs.

09:51 PM

Two runs from Mehidy Hasan's fifth over.

That's the end of the first Power Play.

IND - 51/0 after 10 overs.

09:48 PM

Mortaza keeps a short fine with Rahman bowling from over the wicket.

Dhawan gets one on his pads and threads the gap between the keeper and short fine.

Another boundary!

A one-handed drive through covers by Dhawan that runs away for four. Luck or skill?

12 runs came from that over from the Fizz.

IND - 48/0 after 9 overs.

09:40 PM

Rohit Sharma at his very best!

The Indian captain patiently plays out the first five balls against Rahman. On the sixth delivery, he simply punches it upwards straight back with all the lazy elegance in the world. What a talent!

IND - 34/0 after 7 overs

09:36 PM

Tight over from Hasan, just three runs came from it.

The Indian openers seem content in taking their time.

IND - 30/0 after 6 overs.

09:34 PM

Bangladesh get some fizz in their attack. Mustafizur Rahman replaces Mortaza.

SIX!

Stunning shot from Dhawan, pulls it for a flat six over square-leg.

The ball is coming on to the bat beautifully, or maybe it's just that the Indian openers are in super touch.

IND - 27/0 after 5 overs.

09:29 PM

Another beautiful drive through covers from Dhawan. This time against Hasan. But the fielder got a hand to it and only two runs are taken.

There isn't much turn as of now.

IND - 20/0 after 4 overs.

09:25 PM

First boundary for Dhawan. A rather flashy one, at that.

Mortaza pitches it full and wide from around the wicket, Dhawan throws his hands at it and blasts the ball over point for four.

Another boundary!

This time Dhawan was in complete control. He stood still, tall and drove it on the rise past covers. Boss shot!

IND - 15/0 after 3 overs.

09:20 PM

Interesting tactic from Bangladesh. Off-spinner Mahidy Hasan bowls with the new ball from the other end. Perhaps, a ploy to trouble the left-handed Shikhar Dhawan.

No harm done in that over, three runs came from it.

IND - 7/0 after 2 overs.

09:17 PM

What. A. Shot.

Rohit Sharma is off the mark with the most delightful drive through covers. The amount of time this man has while playing his strokes!

Four runs come from this captain versus captain over.

IND - 4/0 after 1 over.

09:12 PM

Right, we're all set for the second innings.

Rohit Sharma to face the first ball, Mashrafe Mortaza has the new ball in hand.

India need 174 to win.

Here we go!

08:35 PM

Jasprit Bumrah gets his third wicket in the form of Mustafizur Rahman.

The right-hander goes for a pull but ends up giving Shikhar Dhawan his fourth catch of the innings.

This has been a top-class performance from India. The star of the show, of course, has been Ravindra Jadeja for his four-wicket haul.

The left-arm spinner makes a promising comeback to the Indian limited-overs side.

This should be a comfortable chase for India. But as they say, anything can happen in cricket.

Join us after a short break for the second innings.

08:35 PM

BANGLADESH ALL-OUT FOR 173

08:28 PM

Rubel Hossain survives!

The right-hander gets a top-edge after attempting a pull shot.

Jaddu runs from point towards third-man, gets his hands to it but can't hold on to it. Bhuvi would've been tied with Jadeja at four wickets each in this innings if the catch was taken.

BAN - 173/9 after 49 overs.

08:27 PM

OUT!

Bumrah gets his second wicket as Mehidy Hasan has to walk back for 42 from 50 balls.

The right-hander tried to slog it but found Shikhar Dhawan at deep mid-wicket.

A fine knock from Hasan, though. Could prove to be a match-winning one.

BAN 169/9 after 47.2 overs.

08:21 PM

SIX!

Skipper Mortaza finally connects. Stays still and lofts one from Bhuvi over the long-on fence.

Another six!

This time Mortaza steps away and pulls it straight back for a maximum.

OUT!

Bhuvi gets his man! Mortaza goes for a scoop-shot but hits it straight to Bumrah at short-fine.

The Bangladeshi captain walks back for a 26-ball 32, Bhuvneshwar gets his third wicket.

BAN - 167/8 after 46.3 overs.

08:18 PM

Superb bowling from Bumrah at the death. He's regarded as one of the best white-ball bowlers in the world and he's showing why.

The Bangladeshi batsmen are trying to go for big shots but Bumrah is refusing to give them any width. Just the three singles came from that over.

BAN - 155/7 after 46 overs.

08:04 PM

Shot of the match so far from Mahidy Hasan!

The right-hander dances down the track and drives it over covers for a flat six. Wow! Chahal, the bowler, looks impressed, too.

He is the man as far as Bangladesh are concerned. Hasan must bat right till the end.

BAN - 144/7 after 43 overs.

08:00 PM

Not much happening in the match at the moment.

The Indians are searching for wickets but the Bangladeshi batsmen have shut shop.

A score of around 160 to 170 is a must.

BAN - 133/7 after 42 overs.

07:51 PM

SIX!

A huge hit from Hasan out of nowhere! Bangladesh get their first six of the match and Hasan gets the first of his career.

Chahal tosses it up once again, Hasan slog-sweeps it for a maximum.

BAN - 128/7 after 40 overs.

07:45 PM

Spinners operating from both ends once again. Chahal joins Kuldeep in the attack. The leggie continuing to give generous flight to the ball.

Just the one run came from that over.

BAN - 120/7 after 38 overs.

07:38 PM

Skipper  Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan are at the crease for Bangladesh now.

The two bowlers are going to have to bat out of their skins to take their team anywhere near respectability.

Boundary!

Bumrah bangs it short and Hasan cuts it smartly over the slip fielder for four.

Bangladesh are going to need a lot more of that.

BAN - 115/7 after 36 overs.

07:28 PM

OUT!

Another one bites the dust!

Mosaddek Hossain's painstaking knock of 12 from 43 comes to an end.

The right-hander goes for a wild sweep, his front foot was nowhere close to the pitch of the ball.

He gets a faint edge and Dhoni takes a sharp catch.

Ravindra Jadeja has his fourth wicket. Will he complete his five-for?

ban - 101/7 after 33.2 overs.

07:23 PM

OUT!

Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes back into the attack and strikes immediately.

He bowls a dead straight delivery to Mahmudullah and traps the right-hander plumb in front.

This was the wicket India were searching for.

Bangladesh's resistance has been broken, the sixth-wicket stand ends for 36 runs. Mahmudullah walks back for a 51-ball 25.

BAN 101/6 after 32.5 overs.

07:17 PM

Jadeja was all set to earn a maiden over but Hossain ruined it by taking a single off the last ball.

Bangladesh get a 100 runs at the end of the 32nd over. They've lost half their side, though.

07:14 PM

Finally a boundary for Bangladesh!

Mahmudullah plays a nicely-executed reverse-sweep to the fine-leg fence.

Another boundary!

This time the right-hander rocks back and punches it through covers for four. There was no fielder on the boundary.

Bangladesh get a bit of a kick-on.

BAN - 99/5 after 31 overs.

07:09 PM

Bumrah bowls another tight over, just three runs came from it.

Credit must be given to Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain, though.

Pakistani batsmen dug their own grave against India the other day by hitting in the air and getting out one after another.

The two Bangladeshi batsmen at the crease right now are not making that mistake. They realise what the situation is and are taking their time. No fancy shots being attempted as there are plenty of overs to go.

BAN - 90/5 after 30 overs.

07:06 PM

Rare misfield by India. Chahal fails to get down quickly enough at point and gives away two extra runs.

Kuldeep, though, bowls another cheap over. He has been India's most ecomical bowler so far. He hasn't got any wickets to show for his good work, though.

BAN - 87/5 after 29 overs.

07:02 PM

Pace brought back into the attack in the form of Bumrah.

The right-arm quick keeps it stump-to-stump and concedes just a single.

BAN - 84/5 after 28 overs.

06:52 PM

Wonderful to see Chahal tossing the ball up the way he is. It's going well over the batsman's eye-line before dipping dangerously.

Bangladesh are fighting for each run here. The Indian spinners have turned the screws on from either end.

BAN - 80/5 after 26 overs.

06:43 PM

Hossain gets a reprieve!

He hits it straight back to Chahal, the diminutive leggie dives full length but can't hold on to the catch.

Will India have to pay heavily for this missed opportunity?

BAN - 75/5 after 23 overs.

06:39 PM

Two slips in place for Jaddu, too. He's keeping it wicket to wicket and asking the batsmen to manufacture shots.

Two runs came from that over.

It seems a long way away at this point but Bangladesh will have to aim for at least 220-230.

BAN - 74/5 after 22 overs.

06:36 PM

Chahal bowls three beautiful leg-breaks to concede no run.

Then drops it way shot to be pulled by Mahmudullah for a one-bounce four.

The leg-spinner bowls another peach of a delivery to beat Mosaddek Hossain's bat off the last ball.

There's definitely good turn on this wicket.

BAN - 72/5 after 21 overs.

06:34 PM

Jadeja is in the middle of a brilliant spell. The accuracy is intact and the batsmen are struggling to pick the straight one.

Just a single came from that over.

Jadeja has bowled six overs so far for 23 runs and three wickets.

BAN - 67/5 after 20 overs.

06:30 PM

Rohit puts two slips for Chahal against the right-hander.

Just a run came from that over.

India can sense the kill here.

BAN - 66/5 after 19 overs.

06:26 PM

OUT!

BIG WICKET FOR INDIA!

Jadeja on fire, removes Bangladesh's main batsman Mushfiqur. Jadeja's comeback to the ODI side after a year is turning out to be memorable.

BAN 65/5 (18)

06:13 PM

OUT!

Jadeja gets his second wicket! He darts one in from around the wicket, the right-handed Mithun goes for a forward defence but the ball strikes his front pad first.

Bangladesh opt for DRS but the replay shows that the batsman was out.

India are running away with the contest.

BAN - 60/4 after 15.4 overs.

06:08 PM

Shout for LBW against Mohammad Mithun, but the umpire says not out. Replay suggests that there was an inside edge.

The Indians are continuing to build pressure. Another wicket here and Bangladesh could be staring at a collapse.

Time for drinks.

BAN - 59/3 after 15 overs.

05:56 PM

Another bowling change from Rohit. He replaces Chahal with Kuldeep Yadav.

BTW, replays suggest that Dhoni walked up to Rohit in the previous over and suggested to bring Dhawan in at mid-wicket. The next ball Shakib hit it straight to Dhawan.

BAN - 47/3 after 11 overs.

05:52 PM

Ravindra Jadeja gets a bowl ahead of Kuldeep Yadav. The left-arm spinner is playing ODI cricket after a lengthy gap.

OUT!

Some drama here! Jaddu bowls a no ball, but the strike is changed so the field is allowed to be changed. He bowls a low full-toss then that Shakib hits straight to the fielder.

The umpire calls it a no-ball since there weren't enough fielders inside the circle at the time the ball was bowled (Power Play rules). Rohit has a lengthy discussion with the umpire about it.

Shakib is given another free-hit and this time he pierces the in-field on the off side and gets four. An unhappy Rohit has a chat with the umpire again.

Shakib sweeps the next ball for a boundary. But the experienced left-hander goes for another big shot on the next ball and finds Shikhar Dhawan at mid-wicket. He has to walk back for 17 off 12, paying the price for being greedy.

It all happened in that over!

BAN - 44/3 after 10 overs.

05:43 PM

Spin introduced in the form of Yuzvendra Chahal. Interesting tactic from Rohit to bring the leggie on so early.

Rahim goes for a sweep, only manages a top edge that falls between short-fine and deep square-leg.

Five singles came from that over.

BAN - 31/2 after 9 overs.

05:38 PM

Rahim gets lucky!

Bumrah manages to get one to jag back in, the ball takes the inside edge and flies inches wide of a diving Dhoni. It wasn't a catch, though.

This has been a top-class start from India's new-ball bowlers. They've been right on the money since the get-go, not giving any freebies.

BAN - 26/2 after 8 overs.

05:34 PM

Bangladesh have their most experienced duo in Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease. They will have to take their time and bat deep.

Rahim is the form man and India will look to go hard at him early on.

Meanwhile, Bhuvi bowls another top over. No run came from it. Rohit has kept a catcher right in front of Rahim on the off side.

BAN - 21/2 after 7 overs.

05:30 PM

Shakib Al Hasan off the mark with a glorious drive for four.

Bumrah strays in line, Shakib gets a stride out and punches it through covers.

A successful over nonetheless for India.

BAN - 21/2 after 6 overs.

05:26 PM

OUT!

Bumrah gets his first wicket!

Nazmul Hossain Shanto goes for an expansive on-the-rise cover-drive but edges it. Dhawan juggles it a bit but holds on to the catch at second slip.

India are off to a great start here.

BAN - 16/2 after 5.1 overs.

05:17 PM

OUT!

Short ball from Bhuvi, Liton Das pulls, top edge and a brilliant catch from Kedar Jadhav at deep fine-leg!

BAN 15/1 after 4.3 overs

Liton Das 7(16)

05:13 PM

After a great first over, Bumrah goes for some runs in his second.

Seven runs from this over. Three runs off the first ball followed by a four off the fourth delivery and two dots to end the over.

BAN 14/0 after 4 overs.

05:12 PM

Liton Das goes hard at a punch, decides to check his shot right at the end. The ball falls inches short of catching-covers.

Bhuvi doing what Bhuvi does - moving it slightly both ways and keeping it wicket to wicket. The ball is shaping in beautifully to the left-handed Nazmul Hossain Shanto.

BAN - 7/0 after 3 overs.

05:08 PM

Jasprit Bumrah bowling with the new ball at the other end. Generates steep bounce on a couple of deliveries.

Das survives after a mistimed pull goes wide of the slip cordon. The Bangladeshi batsmen have not been given any room to free their arms so far.

Just a single from that over.

BAN - 5/0 after 2 overs.

05:03 PM

Good start by Bhuvi, making the ball move both ways.

The track is a belter, as always.

Just the four runs come from the first over, one of them from a wide.

BAN - 4/0 after 1 over.

04:58 PM

Right, we're ready for some cricket!

Bhuvneshwar Kumar to bowl the first ball, Liton Das is on strike.

Here we go!

04:53 PM

Both the teams are out on the field.

Bangladesh's national anthem will be played first.

04:35 PM

Surprise! Surprise! India has finally won a toss. Rohit Sharma promptly decides to field first. He believes that the wicket is better to bat on under lights. Only one change for India. Ravindra Jadeja in place of Hardik Pandya. A spinning allrounder replacing a pace allrounder. Probably ideal for Dubai.

Bangladesh have made two changes. They rested Mustafizur and Mushfiqur in yesterday's dead rubber against Afghanistan. Both are back in the side. Mortaza isn't overtly displeased with losing the toss. He says that he would have opted to bat first.

According to VVS Laxman this is a 275 pitch. We will know soon.
