Ms Dhoni CSK defeated LSG in a high scoring match at the Fortress Chepauk Stadium on Monday in the sixth match of the IPL. Spinners shone bright against KL Rahul’s men, with Moeen Ali taking 4 important wickets. The duo of Moeen Ali and Mitchell Santner took Chennai to a winning position. Earlier in the match CSK came strong with a 110 run 1st wicket partnership with Ruturaj continuing his form from the last match and scoring rapid 57 runs off just 31 balls. Davon Conway, his opening partner, also contributed 47 runs off just 29 balls. Rayudu 27 off 13 and Dhoni two sixes in the last over took CSK to a gigantic total of 217 runs.
While chasing Kyle Mayers scared CSK fans with his hard hitting, the left hand batter slammed back to back half centuries and looked extremely dangerous. He scored 53 off just 22 deliveries before Moeen Ali dismissed him. Moeen Ali’s 4 for 26 and Mitchell Santner 21 for 1 were the game changing performance. The English spinner was also awarded the player of the match for his clinical performance.
MS Dhoni did what he does best with those two sixes to Mark wood he again stole the show. CSK looked in good control from the very beginning as Ruturaj Gaikwad 57 (31) and Davon Conway 47 (29) gave a dream powerplay start after scoring 79 runs without losing any wickets. The first-wicket partnership of 110 runs put Chennai in the driving seat. It was a complete team performance as a little contribution from each player took the team to a respective total of 217 runs. Ravi Bishnoi from LSG bowled sensational taking 3 important wickets, However, his effort couldn't take his team to victory.
