Melbourne Stars had a great start to their Big Bash League (BBL) 2020-21 campaign with a comfortable victory against the Brisbane Heat. Choosing to bowl first, Stars were on the money and din't let any of the Heat batsman to get off the hook.
Nathan Coulter-Nile, the man of the match, was the standout bowler for the stars with figures of 4/10. Even though, Stars lost their first wicket in the first over itself, Hilton Cartwright's steady unbeaten 46 and skipper Glenn Maxwell's quickfire 46 helped Stars get home by 6 wickets.
Sydney Thunder, on the other hand, will be itching to start their campaign on a high. With the inlusions of Ben Cutting and Kiwi pacer Adam Milne, Thunder have strengthened their fast bowling stocks with last year's golden arm winner Daniel Sams already in the ranks. Their top-order too looks solid with the likes of Alex Hales, Usman Khawaja and skipper Callum Ferguson.
