The ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is at its full flow in England so far after a very slow initial start of the tournament.

With the semi-finals just around the corner, fans are full of high hopes to see off the "Holy Grail of cricket" in the best possible fashion.

While Australia, India, and England already securing their semi-final qualifications, there is still one more spot up for grabs with New Zealand being the front runners for it.

In 2019, the cricketing fans had both the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and the Indian Premier League (IPL) happening in a space of less than one month. Which is the reason why some players who were in great form in the IPL have found it easy to get their rhythm in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, and the vice versa.

There are also some players who had a fantastic run in the IPL 2019 but are not topping the charts in the World Cup 2019 so far.

Here are the list of such player:

1. Andre Russell

The West Indian all-rounder was one of the most feared players during the IPL 2019. Russell, in some matches, single-handedly carried Kolkata Knight Riders over the finishing line.

During his 14 matches in a purple shirt this year, Russell scored 510 runs with an average of 56.66. With a strike rate of 204.81 and a high score of 80*, it is quite clear why every team saw Andre as a giant with the bat.

His bowling figures during the entire tournament was impressive as well as the Windies power-house picked up 11 wickets with an average economy of 9.51.

But, he has failed to deliver for West Indies at the ICC World Cup 2019. While staying fit throughout the entire tournament was a big challenge for Russell; he did pick up an injury and was later on ruled out of the World Cup.

In the 4 matches, he played for the 'Men In Maroon' Russell failed to make any significant impact. He did pick up 4 wickets in those 4 matches but failed to do delivery anything impactful with the bat in his hand.

2. Kagiso Rabada

Another IPL 2019 star Kagiso Rabada also had a very average ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 when compared to this IPL 2019 run this year.

The Delhi Capital pacer was magnificent with the ball throughout the IPL, picking up 25 wickets in 12 matches for Blues with an average of 14.72.

Even though South Africa had a very patch World Cup run, with continuous injuries to key players, Kagiso himself failed to produce the same kind of IPL form with the ball for his national side.

Even though he picked up eight wickets in his 8 matches for South Africa, he has failed to deliver in big match for the South Africans.

3. Rashid Khan

The young leg spinner took over IPL by storm last year and kept his form up during the 2019 campaign as well for the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

During the 2019 IPL season, Rashid picked up 17 wickets in 15 matches with an average of 22.17.

But during the World Cup 2019, just like the rest of the Afghans side, Rashid also failed to inspire his national side during matches who have failed to register a single win in the tournament so far.

In the 9 matches, Rashid Khan picked up 6 wickets with a very high economy rate with his side. While against England, he became the most expensive spinner to be hit in the World Cup history, Rashid has been continuously failing to produce the same kind of numbers for Afghanistan.

4. Chris Gayle

Another West Indian on the list who have had a World Cup to forgot about is Chris Gayle.

The hard-hitting Windies opener scored 490 in the 13 matches played for the King XI Punjab, Gayle had ended his IPL 2019 with a strike rate of 153.60 and top score of 99*.

But during the World Cup 2019, Gayle failed to hit the same hights for the West Indies who desperately lacked a reliable opening partnership throughout the tournament.
