From Shubman Gill's 208 to Rohit Sharma's 264: Know all ODI double centurions in cricket history

Rohit Sharma holds the record for the highest individual score by a batsman in One Day Internationals (ODIs). On November 13, 2014, at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, he achieved a remarkable feat, smashing an incredible 264 runs off 173 balls against Sri Lanka.

New Zealand's opening batsman, Martin Guptill, is currently ranked second in the world. On March 21, 2015, in Wellington, during the 2015 ODI World Cup, he achieved a remarkable feat, scoring an unbeaten 237 against the West Indies. This was the highest individual score in a World Cup match, and it propelled the Black Caps to a commanding victory. 

On December 8 in 2011, Virender Sehwag smashed 219 from 149 balls against West Indies in Indore to break the then record for the highest One-Day International individual score, eclipsing batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar’s unbeaten 200 scored against South Africa in Gwalior a year before that.

On February 24th, 2015, Chris Gayle made history by becoming the first man to ever score a double-century in the ODI World Cup. The West Indies legend achieved the remarkable feat during the group-phase match against Zimbabwe in Canberra. Interestingly, Gayle's record-breaking knock came exactly five years after Sachin Tendulkar became the first man to ever score a double-century in ODIs in 2010.

Fakhar Zaman made history on July 20, 2018, when he became the first and only Pakistani batsman to date to score a double century in ODI cricket. His remarkable 210 not out against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo was a feat that will be remembered for years to come

Ishan Kishan achieved a remarkable feat when he became the fastest batter to score a double century in ODIs. On December 10, 2022, he blasted 210 runs from just 131 balls against Bangladesh in Chattogram, setting a new record in the process. 

Rohit Sharma achieved his maiden ODI double century against Australia on November 2, 2013 in Bengaluru. In a remarkable display of batting prowess, he scored 209 runs off 158 balls, cementing his place in the record books.

Shubman Gill made history on January 18, 2023, when he became the youngest batsman to score a double century in an ODI match. The 23-year-old achieved the feat in Hyderabad, India, after facing 149 balls and scoring 208 runs against New Zealand.

Rohit Sharma achieved his third ODI double century on December 13, 2017 in Mohali, where he was captaining the Indian side against Sri Lanka.

Sachin Tendulkar made history when he became the first batsman to score a double century in One Day Internationals (ODIs). On February 24, 2010, in Gwalior, India, he achieved this feat with a remarkable 200 not out from 147 balls against South Africa.
