While surely the Super Over was the highlight of the whole match, many interesting events took place in the whole clash. From Stonis' fast-fifty to R Ashwin injuring himself to DC finishing their innings 157/8 after 20 overs and Mayank Agarwal almost taking the losing KXIP towards the end.

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) had elected to field against Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mohammad Shami sure rattled DC's top-order.

In the second clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, Shami went all guns blazing as Delhi's top-order crumbled.

Shami first sent Delhi's young gun Prithvi Shaw with the help Chris Jordan who took the perfect catch. The Indian speedster then sent West Indian slogger Shimron Hetmyer and later on Shami bagged his third being Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer.

Shami ended his four overs with three wickets while giving only 15 runs.

While Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant did stabilise the DC innings, it was Marcus Stoinis' blistering knock which helped guide Delhi Capitals (DC) to 157/3.

The Australian allrounder showcased his batting excellence against KXIP's bowling unit and he drained out 53 runs in the final 3 overs of the match.

Stoinis' red-hot innings saw him smash seven boundaries and three huge sixes on his way to his half-century.

3. R Ashwin's injury

Ravichandran Ashwin left the field after sustaining an injury in the clash. The former KXIP skipper started off on a good note as he picked up two wickets in an over and gave away just two runs.

However, on the final ball of his first over, Ashwin tried to stop the drive from Maxwell ball but landed badly on his hand. He was helped off the field by the physio.

It looked like a shoulder dislocation and it was confirmed towards the end of the match as Ashwin was spotted with his left shoulder in a sling. This could be trouble for Delhi Capitals as they would be without their star spinner for some games.

The bowler was Delhi's premium spinner and they don't have a ready replacement for the starlet. As for Ashwin's substitute, Ajinkya Rahane was sent to the field.

4. Mayank Agar-WALL collapse

Mayank Agarwal proved to be the game-changer for the Punjab side. Agarwal did start slow as he saw his other strikes fall like a pack of cards.

He, however, picked up momentum and scored 89 off 60 balls. He smashed seven fours and four sixes in his attempt to get KXIP to the winning side.

But the fall of his wicket in the fifth ball of the last over got DC to redeem themselves and take the match into Super Over.

In the super over, Kagiso Rabada once again showcased his bowling prowess as he picked up Rahul and Pooran's wickets with two beauty deliveries to finish KXIP at 2/2.

With a target score of three to win the match from six balls, DC sent Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer to rap things up, who finished it off in a blast without losing any wickets in the end.
