India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I: India and New Zealand have played 11 T20 matches. India have won three of these so far and New Zealand have won 7 matches, while one match was called off.

Rohit Sharma wins the toss and India will bowl first in the series decider.

Rohit Sharma explains his reason behind the call saying, "I know it’s a big game. The combination allows us to chase as we bat deep and we have a good record chasing." New Zealand would have also bowled first, says Kane Williamson.

India have brought in Kuldeep Yadav who replaces Yuzvendra Chahal. New Zealand have rested fast bowler Lockie Ferguson who has been replaced by debutant Blair Tickner.

It has been a great start for New Zealand as Tim Seifert and Colin Munro in Hamilton have added 66 runs in the 6 overs of powerplay.

OUT! Tim Seifert is gone- Kuldeep Yadav draws the batsman forward and then beats him as it spins the other way. MS Dhoni whips off the bails. They check upstairs and it looked very very close. It's given out in the end.

Kuldeep Yadav sends back Colin Munro (72). It was tossed up outside off, Munro went for a slog sweep, trying to hit it over deep midwicket against the spin, doesn't get the distance and Pandya competes the catch, coming in a few paces from deep midwicket

OUT! Kane Williamson is gone as slower bouncer does the trick for Khaleel Ahmed. The bowlers who has dropped a catch earlier in the innings does not celebrate.

Colin de Grandhomme is OUT. Bhuvi goes full and wide outside off as De Grandhomme reaches out and ends up getting a thin edge to MS Dhoni. However, he has done his job as New Zealand are set to post a 200plus total here.

New Zealand started with spin with Mitchell Santner and it paid dividends at once. Shikhar Dhawan (5) went for a slog sweep but ends up hitting it towards Daryl Mitchell at deep midwicket who completed a low tumbling catch.

After Dhawan's wicket, Vijay Shankar took over and provided great support to Rohit Sharma. He scored freely including two consecutive sixes off Ish Sodhi. He finally fell after adding 43 runs off 28 balls.

OUT! Blair Tickner gets his maiden T20I wicket. Rishabh Pant falls on a full toss. It's outside off and Pant ends up hitting it towards short midwicket where Williamson takes a decent catch. He scored 28 off 12. IND 121/3

Rohit Sharma edges one behind to be out caught behind for 38 off 32. Daryl Mitchell gets his first wicket. IND 141/4

Hardik Pandya goes for a pull but the bat slips out of his hand. He ends up hitting it towards extra cover region where Kane Williamson accepts an easy catch. He scored 21 off 11. IND 145/5

OUT! There goes another Indian hope. MS Dhoni, looking for the big shots, ends up holing out to Tim Southee at long-on after scoring 2. Wicket no. 2 for Daryl Mitchell.

India lose the match by 4 runs. 

Some good hitting by Dinesh Karthik and Krunal Pandya meant India needed 30 off last two overs. DK and Krunal then each struck a six off the penultimate over to take 14 runs from it. However, Dinesh Karthik failed to get the big shot off the first four balls- 2,0,0,1. He hits a six off the last ball but its too late by then.
