India vs South Africa 2nd Test match, Day 1 Highlights: As it happened between IND and SA- in pictures

India have won the toss and elected to bat first and made one change to their playing XI from the first match.
 

They brought in Umesh Yadav in place of Hanuma Vihari. while Proteas made two changes to their side from the first Test match.
 

On the other hand, South Africa brought in Anrich Nortje in place of Dane Piedt.

India's playing XI: Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav.

South Africa's playing XI: Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Theunis de Bruyn, Temba Bavuma, Faf du Plessis(c), Quinton de Kock(w), Senuran Muthusamy, Vernon Philander, Keshav Maharaj, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje.

Rohit Sharma departs early for just 14 runs as Kagiso Rabada picks up his first wicket of the match. 

Sharma completely misjudged the flight of the ball and edged an easy catch to SA keeper Quinton de Kock. 

India are 77/1 going into the lunch break with Mayank Agarwal (36*) and Cheteshwar Pujara (19*) hoping to continue this partnership when play resumes again.

He's been in very good touch again for the hosts and most certainly is aiming for another long term innings. 

100-run partnership up between Mayank Agarwal and CheteshwarPujara on the day. 

The pair has been batting in a very good rhythm and the understanding between the two seems to be on point so far today. 

After failing to show his class in the previous matches, Cheteshwar Pujara finally has his half-century. 

Pujara has looked confident with his shot selection so far and his defense looks solid too. 

This was also his 22nd Test half-century.

Just moments after completing his well-deserved half-century against South Africa, Rabada's quicker delivery removes Pujara on 58. 

Rabada has been the stand out bowler for the tourists in Pune, picking up both the wickets for his side.

The India opener has looked sharp again with his shots and will be hoping for another big score.  

Kagiso Rabada picks up his third wicket of the day. This time it's India's stand out batsman in the series Mayank Agarwal. 

Rabada's pace variation has certainly troubled the Indian batsmen so far today, as Agarwal also edges an easy catch toward the slip for the South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis. 

Mayank Agarwal played yet another brilliant knock of 108 runs off 195 deliveries. 

Day one action in Pune comes to an end as India finish on 273/3 after 85.1 overs. 

Mayank Agarwal was the stand out performer with the bat for India. For the tourists, pacer Rabada secured all three wickets on the day. 

Team India will start day two with skipper Virat Kohli (63*) and Ajinkya Rahane (18*) in the middle.
