India vs West Indies (IND vs WI), 3rd T20I: India won the three-match T20I series 3-0 against West Indies as the Men in Blue outclassed Windies by seven wickets in the third T20I at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday.

Kieron Pollard's knock of 58 runs from 45 balls allowed West Indies to post 146 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted twenty overs after being asked to bat first.

Chasing 147, India lost its opener Shikhar Dhawan (3) in the second over of the innings. KL Rahul was also sent back to the pavilion, as he was foxed by Fabian Allen to reduce India to 27/2 in the fifth over. Skipper Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant put up a stand of 106 runs, which saw both batsmen brought up their respective half-centuries. Kohli (59) was dismissed in the 18th over by Thomas. 

In the end, Pant and Manish Pandey ensured India's victory by seven wickets and with five balls to spare.

West Indies: 146/6 (20 overs)

India: 150/3 (19.1 overs)

The start and toss were delayed due to rain and wet outfield. The rain stopped just before the scheduled time for the toss as groundsmen worked hard to get the outfield match-ready. The toss finally took place at 8:45 pm IST and the match started at 9.10 pm- more than an hour after the scheduled start.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Men in Blue made three changes in their lineup from the second T20I as they brought in KL Rahul, Rahul Chahar, Deepak Chahar in place of Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Khaleel Ahmed.

 

"Been under the covers for a bit, so want to use the dampness. Rohit is resting today so I am playing. A couple of guys playing their first game. KL Rahul will play, Rahul Chahar will play instead of Jadeja. Deepak Chahar is in for Khaleel Ahmed," Kohli said at the time of the toss.
