The Indian men's and women's cricket team arrived in London on Thursday (June 3) and straightaway travelled to Southampton where they will be based for a week.
They will undergo a mandatory 5-day quarantine before they go out and train. While the men's team will remain in Southampton to play for the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand, the women's team will travel to Bristol where they will play the one-off Test against England starting June 16.

1. The Ageas Bowl in Southampton

The Ageas Bowl in Southampton is the on-site hotel at the Hampshire Bowl. The players will be tested again before commencing a period of managed isolation. Regular tests will be conducted during the period of isolation.

The hotel has become one of the most sought-after venues in times of COVID-19 because a 4-star hotel – Hilton Hotel - is located adjacent to the stadium.
This reduces the risk of players' contracting the virus, as they won't have to travel to a different venue for net sessions.

3. Hilton Hotel - a cricketer's paradise

The Ageas Bowl venue is quite a favourite among cricketers as well because of its sweeping views of the ground from the rooms.
The hotel, a 20-minute drive from central Southampton, is called 'A cricketer's paradise'.

4. Ravindra Jadeja shares pictures of 'first outing in Southampton'

Indian cricket team all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja shared pictures on Twitter from his training session at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

5. Women's team will play their one-off Test from June 16-19

The Indian women's cricket squad will undergo their hard quarantine in Southampton instead of Bristol where they are supposed to play their one-off Test match.
Once they travel to Bristol, the women's team will be putting up at the same hotel which is adjacent to the County ground to ensure a safe bio-secure zone for the squad.
The women's team will play their one-off Test from June 16-19.
