'Never ever underestimate Team India' - while the Australian coach Justin Langer spoke about this a lot, the statement has been proved right on various occasions as well.

First, the victory at Gabba and now at Lord's - the India team have been conquering fortress after fortress that comes their way.

India, who were almost on the losing side and were fighting for survival, turned the tables in London as, on Day 5, the tail-enders Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami helped the visitors stage a remarkable comeback.

After their exceptional performance with the bat, they came back with the ball and fired up the crowd from ball one The Indian side got them all out and won the 2nd Test. Opening batsman KL Rahul was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding knock of 129 in the first innings. 

With so much happening, KL Rahul in his speech said, "That's what you expect with two competitive teams - great skills, and a few words as well. We don't mind some banter. You go after one of our guys and all 11 of us will come right back".

The statement proved to be true and here's all the drama that took place during the 2nd Test.

KL Rahul had proved his mettle and scored a century and even got his name added to the Lord's honour list on Day 2.

 

However, the England crowd seemed to not have appreciated the man's hard work and this is where it all started. During the third day's play, while fielding, fans were seen throwing beer corks towards him.

 

Apparently, the commentators were heard speaking about the same and they said that the English crowd on two occasions threw things around where KL Rahul was fielding.

 

The incident took place during the 68th over when someone threw a bottle cork on the field near Rahul on the boundary. Soon, Indian skipper, Virat Kohli was seen standing at third man, and Kohli asking him about it.

 

While the batsman kept his calm, it was what Kohli asked him to do that got netizens laughing. As the commentators said, Kohli had asked Rahul to throw the items back into the crowd.

The end of Day 3 saw James Anderson batting and Jasprit Bumrah bowling. While it was fun to watch, the Indian pacer was surely frustrated as he was wicketless.

 

This is where things got heated as when Bumrah bowled, the ball hit the helmet. It was a nasty bouncer, and Anderson knew he was in trouble.

 

The play did stop for around five to seven minutes, but it resumed again and, the Indian bowler did not stop and continued to deliver the bouncers at his body.

 

While it did not go as planned for Bumrah, as he bowled as many as four no-balls, it took a massive 15 minutes for him to finish his over. 

 

However, soon after all the wickets fell and the day's play ended, the veteran England cricketer and Jasprit Bumrah were seeing in an intense moment.

 

Apparently, when Bumrah went past him and smiled while looking at the batsman and also patted on Anderson’s back, the Englishman looked clearly unhappy. England skipper Joe Root had to intervene and take Anderson away from Bumrah.

The verbal fight between the English bowler and Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Day 4 was caught on the stump mic. This fight was the continuation of the fight between James Anderson and Jasprit Bumrah.

 

During the verbal spat, Kohli had reminded the English bowler about his fight with Bumrah.

 

According to what was heard on the stump mic, Kohli told Anderson, "You are swearing at me? Like you did to Bumrah?. This isn't your f**king backyard"

 

Anderson must have said something more which was inaudible and Kohlu was heard saying, "Yeah yeah yeah, Chirp chirp chirp".

A new fight even broke out after the end of the 91 over when Bumrah, Mohammed Shami were batting. The Indian bowlers and Jos Buttler along with the umpires were seen in a heated argument.

 

The stump mic again caught Bumrah telling the Buttler, "I was not the one who was complaining to bowl slow man".

 

Many believe, the fight began after some words were exchanged between Bumrah and Mark Wood. However, the umpires stopped Bumrah on the way.

Virat Kohli was again at it and on Day 5 towards the end of the play was seen giving back to Ollie Robinson.

 

As heard on stump mic, Kohli told the English all-rounder, "This guy (Robinson) laughed at me when I missed a cover drive. Now he is playing to save a home Test. How important is this innings in a Test match? Come on then big mouth".
