The bowler, who just started a new inning in his life in June after marrying his girlfriend Hattie Leigh Palmer, saw them both hardly spending any time together. The love birds, who had dated for a long time before tying the knot, haven’t been able to spend a lot of time due to Zampa's cricket assignments.

With Australia's recent white-ball tours of the West Indies and Bangladesh, Zampa has been occupied. While he surely takes a lot of pride while representing Australia, but being away from his wife hasn't been easy.

The distance has been evident in his latest Instagram story, where he reposted a snap of Hattie. Zampa highlighted that it has been 68 days since his marriage, but the couple got to only spend eight days together.

As for the marriage, Zampa and Hattie hitched up on June 23 in New South Wales. It was days after his marriage, that he had to fly to the Caribbean Islands for five T20Is and three ODIs. The series against the Men in Maroon was followed by the five T20Is against Bangladesh.

While Australia did not do well in these outings, Zampa was pretty impressive as he choked runs in the middle overs. He also took wickets at regular intervals and several fans and experts praised his stellar performance.

Meanwhile, Zampa pulled out of the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which will be taking place in the UAE from September 19.

This means the leg-spinner will next be seen in the T20 World Cup which will take place in October-November in UAE and Oman.
