Kedar Jadhav was in limelight during India's 8-wicket win against Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2018 match on Wednesday.
The part-time spinner troubled Pakistan batsmen with his unique kind of action and ended up picking three wickets. Jadhav’s 3/23 in nine overs helped India bundle out Pakistan for just 162 runs.
Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed also credited Jadhav for his team's downfall in batting.
"We had prepared for the two spinners but the third one chipped in with wickets," Ahmed said at the post-match presentation after India chased down the target of 163 runs only in 29 overs.
While the Man of the Match award went to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kedar Jadhav was no doubt one of the stars of the match.
However, after starring in the much-awaited cricket battle, Jadhav's name is now at the centre of another big rivalry- Congress vs BJP.
Congress’ social media head Divya Spandana used Jadhav’s slingy action to take a shot at the ruling BJP government. BJP was quick to respond with a tweet.
Jadhav has a unique action and goes extremely low while delivering the ball. Divya Spandana referred to this as she took a dig at the government for the state of Indian economy specially the fall in rupee's value.
She tweeted, "Kedar Jadhav's bowling action is so low. Still not as low as the value of Rupee"
BJP Karnataka’s Twitter handle was quick to respond.
This is not the first time she has used cricket to attack BJP.
"Ravindra Jadeja at 86 was India's second highest scorer. The highest remains petrol at 87," she had tweeted a few days ago.
