The Australian lower-order once again in the series frustrated the Indians as Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon fought close to 14 overs before the end of play on Day 4.
Chasing 399, Australia lost eight wickets for 215 runs but India could not trouble the duo of Cummins and Lyon. Virat Kohli and Co. opted for an extra half an hour's play to wrap the Aussie tail but miserably failed as Cummins remained on 61 and Lyon on 6 at stumps of Day 4 on Saturday at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
An excited Mitchell Johnson tried to motivate the two batsmen in the middle. He hoped for rain on the fifth day which is the forecast in Melbourne on Sunday.
There is also a possibility of thunderstorms which has kept the hosts hopeful and Johnson also felt the same.
“C’mon, get through the day lads!! #rainalldaytomorrow,” he tweeted.
Considering the banters between both the countries on the field and on social media, the Indian fans immediately exploded on Johnson's tweet trolling the former fast bowler.
Australia need another 141 runs for an improbable win, while India are two wickets away from a 2-1 series lead.
