Star Indian batsman Virat Kohli once again displayed his dominance over Pakistan during the Super 4 fixture of the Asia Cup 2023 on Monday, 11th September at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Kohli's remarkable innings not only showcased his exceptional talent but also earned him the distinction of becoming the fastest player to reach 13,000 runs in One Day Internationals (ODIs), achieving this milestone in just 267 innings.
It is worth noting that Kohli has consistently shattered records in the ODI format, as he holds the title for being the fastest player to score 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 thousand runs. This remarkable feat further solidifies his position as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game.
In addition to his run-scoring prowess, Kohli also achieved another significant milestone by registering his 112th score of 50 or more in ODIs. This places him in an elite group, with only Kumar Sangakkara (118) and Sachin Tendulkar (145) ahead of him in this regard.
