Team India's women's team will kickstart their campaign on September 21, while the men's team will play their opening game on October 3.

The 19th Asian Games are scheduled to commence on September 23, with some sports events starting as early as September 19. Notably, the women's cricket event is set to begin on September 19. In a historic move, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent both its men's and women's teams to participate in the Asian Games. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been appointed as the captain of the men's team, while Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the women's team.

It is worth mentioning that the top four teams, as per the rankings, have automatically qualified for the quarterfinals. Consequently, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have secured their spots in the knockout stages for both the men's and women's events. Team India's women's team will kickstart their campaign on September 21, while the men's team will play their opening game on October 3.
