Former cricketers praise Smriti Mandhana's century against Australia in Pink Ball Test

Smriti Mandhana had reached the triple-figure mark in the 52nd over of the innings after smashing two fours off Ellyse Perry.

Praises are surely less for this wonderful woman who has been a dominant force when it comes to Indian women's cricket. Opener Smriti Mandhana continued her top-notch performance in the Test match after excelling in ODI and T20Is.

She on Friday notched her maiden Test century on the second day of the pink-ball Test against Australia. Smriti had reached the triple-figure mark in the 52nd over of the innings after smashing two fours off Ellyse Perry. She, however, had to walk back for 127 in 216 balls after losing her wicket to Ashleigh Gardner.

As the women attained this feat, former cricketers and critics as well as fans started pouring in praises for the Smriti.

The Indian opener was clinical throughout her innings and with this Test ton, Smriti now has the highest individual score for India Women in Australia in all three formats. 

The highest individual score in Australia for Team India are as follows; Tests: Smriti Mandhana (108*), ODIs: Smriti Mandhana (102), and T20Is: Smriti Mandhana (66). Not just that, Smriti also became just the fourth women's player and the first Indian woman to bag a century in both ODIs and Test.
