Team India's captain, Rohit Sharma, exuded elegance as he donned a stylish suit and made a striking appearance at the Wimbledon 2024 semi-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev. The official social media accounts of the Grand Slam tournament warmly welcomed the 37-year-old as he posed confidently in his black suit and sunglasses.

In recent weeks, several cricketers, including legends like Sachin Tendulkar and current stars like Ben Stokes, Pat Cummins, Jos Buttler, and Joe Root, have graced the prestigious event with their presence. While India is currently engaged in a series in Zimbabwe, Rohit Sharma, along with other rested players, took the opportunity to enjoy some quality time with his family in the United Kingdom.

The veteran showcased his exceptional skills during the T20 World Cup, emerging as the tournament's second-highest run-scorer with an impressive total of 257 runs, the highest for India. Despite facing an early dismissal in the final, Rohit Sharma's leadership proved to be instrumental as India clinched a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in Barbados.

At the presentation ceremony held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium last Thursday, following a triumphant victory parade, the 37-year-old expressed immense relief at bringing the coveted trophy back home after a 13-year-long wait. In a statement quoted by ESPN Cricinfo, he emphasized the significance of this achievement, stating, "Bringing the World Cup to this country means the world to us. This is for the people who support and watch the game, and, along with all of us, for the last 11 years, they're the ones who've been wanting this trophy to come back. Finally it's here, and I'm very happy and relieved."
