The wicket-keeper batsman played an excellent knock of 111 runs in the first Test match against India in Vizag and it certainly boosted him into Top 10 in the latest ICC rankings.

De Kock managed to gain four places and is now sitting seventh on the list.

His fellow South African batsman Elgar moved up by five places to 14 after playing a 160-run knock in the first innings.

India cruized to a 203-run win over South Africa and are currently leading the tourists 1-0 in the three-match Test series.

The Proteas will now take on the hosts in the second Test match of the series in Pune from October 10.
