Although India are a formidable side in white-ball cricket in any part of the world, England were confident of their chances heading into the ongoing three-match T20I series. Having destroyed Australia in an ODI series only recently, Eoin Morgan's men were tipped to be the favourites.
It all came crashing down for the hosts, though, as Virat Kohli's Team India blew England away in the first T20 in Manchester on Tuesday. While the English cricketers received flak for their lack-luster performance on the field, their former captain Michael Vaughan, too, faced heat for comments he made on social media.
Vaughan, an outspoken pundit of the game, tweeted this during the first T20 between India and England: "Kuldeep Yadav is causing absolutely chaos ....... The Indians are a little bit better than the Aussies."

Vaughan's words didn't go down well with Indian supporters on Twitter, with many calling him out for his sarcastic take.

Vaughan put out another tweet later, with a hint of a superiority complex again: "Just realised India did to England what England have just done to Australia over the past few weeks !!! Looked more mysterious and very very well organised ...... I am now officially concerned about the Indian White ball team."

Once again, Indians on Twitter were quick to remind Vaughan that he should've been conscious of the Indian cricket team's capabilities all along.

This isn't the first time Vaughan has riled up Indian fans on Twitter. He recently got mercilessly trolled for running a poll to determine who between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Jos Buttler is the best keeper-batsman in the world in white-ball cricket. No surprises for guessing who won that poll.
