In the past few weeks, Gambhir has been very vocal with the media regarding Team India.

Former Team India cricketer Gautam Gambhir posted a picture with his two daughters on the eve of Ashtami Kanjak, saying "I am gradually mastering my pedicure skills".

The BJP leader also sarcastically asked his wife Natasha as to where he should send the bill for the pedicure services?

Gambhir posted the picture over on Twitter and wrote "As a dad of two young girls, I am gradually mastering my pedicure skills...besides seeking blessings on Ashtami Kanjak!!! @natashagambhir2 where should I send the bill for my services," as the caption.

In the past few weeks, Gambhir has been very vocal with the media regarding Team India. He also asked the BCCI selectors to speak with former India skipper MS Dhoni regarding the wicketkeeper-batsman's future plans.

Dhoni's last appearance for India was during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and since then he has made himself unavailable for selection for the series against Windies and South Africa. MSD was heavily criticised for his low strike-rate during the World Cup.

"I have always maintained this one thing. Retirement is an individual call, I think for me selectors should talk to him and ask him about his future plan. Ultimately for me, playing for India, you should not be picking and choosing series," Gambhir had told reporters.

The 37-year-old was a key part in India's World Cup-winning setups. Gambhir's instrumental match-winning knocks during the T20 World Cup final in 2007 and 50 over World Cup in 2011 helped his side seal the victory.

In 2018, the cricketer officially announced his retirement after scoring 10,000 runs in List-A cricket.
