Hassan Ali has said that he will invite Indian cricketers to his wedding with Indian national Shamia Arzoo to be held in Dubai next month. However, the Pakistani pace bowler did not specify which cricketers would be on the list of invitees.
“I will invite the Indian cricket team and players to come to my marriage ceremony, after all, we are all cricket mates,” said many reports quoted Hassan speaking to the ‘Urdu Express’ newspaper.
“I would love it if some Indian players come to the ceremony in Dubai, it would be lovely. The contest is on the field and not off it. In the end, we are all professional cricketers and must share happiness,” he was quoted as saying in the report.
Shamia is a flight engineer with the Emirates airlines. While she is now based in Dubai, her family members are settled in New Delhi.
Arzoo’s family originally belongs to Chandeni village in Nuh district, also known as Mewat in Haryana.
“My sister Shamia will be getting married to Pakistani cricketer Hassan Ali next month in Dubai... “We will go to Dubai around August 15-16 where the nikaah will be held the same week and walima will be done later,” Arzoo's brother Akbar Ali told Indian Express. However, Hassan Ali has recently tweeted that the date of the wedding is not final yet.
