Rumours of Team India skipper Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma planning to tie the knot have been doing the rounds since the past few days now. While the duo has refused to comment on these reports, a piece of news coming in from half-way across the world is surely going to bring a smile to the Indian cricket captain's face.

The Adelaide Oval in Australia, a ground where Kohli has had immense success as a cricketer, has offered to host the highly-anticipated wedding. The talismanic batsman scored twin centuries the last time India played a Test in Adelaide, prompting then skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni to say that a stand in the stadium might be named after Kohli.

Although Dhoni's words haven't exactly come true, Adelaide Oval CEO Andrew Daniels has made an incredibly kind offer to Kohli.

"We would be thrilled to host Virat and Anushka’s wedding at Adelaide Oval. How fantastic would it be for Virat to create more happy memories here, considering his outstanding playing history at the Oval," Daniels was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.

“With 26 purpose-built function spaces to choose from, combined with a showcase of South Australia’s finest food and wine it would be an unforgettable day for the future Mr and Mrs Kohli and their guests,” he added.

The Adelaide Oval, which hosted the just-concluded Ashes Test between Australia and England, recently underwent a AUS $535 million renovation, transforming the 146-year-old structure into a modern, state of the art facility.

Meanwhile, reports of Virushka, as the couple is fondly known, getting married in Milan have been coming in thick and fast. Although the actress' spokesperson has emphatically denied this news, fresh reports emerged on Friday saying Anushka has flown off to Italy with her family.
