Shivam Dube remained unbeaten on 60 off 40 balls as India beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets.

Shivam Dube showcased his batting prowess by scoring an unbeaten 60 runs, leading India to a resounding victory over Afghanistan by six wickets in the thrilling first T20I held in Mohali on Thursday. The match began with a disastrous mix-up resulting in Rohit Sharma's unfortunate run out, but India managed to recover and secure the win with 15 balls to spare.

India's bowlers, Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar, played a crucial role in restricting Afghanistan to a total of 158/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Patel and Kumar displayed their skill by claiming two wickets each, effectively curbing Afghanistan's scoring opportunities.

Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi proved to be a formidable opponent, smashing a quickfire 42 runs, while Azmatullah Omarzai contributed with a rapid cameo of 29 runs. The duo formed a formidable partnership, adding 68 runs for the fourth wicket. However, their efforts were short-lived as Mukesh Kumar dismissed both batsmen in the same over, turning the tide in India's favor.
