India is currently facing off against New Zealand in the second Test of the three-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune. Ashwin has already taken two wickets in the first innings against New Zealand, bringing his total to 188 wickets in the history of the World Test Championship (WTC). With this achievement, he has surpassed Nathan Lyon's record of 187 wickets, making him the highest wicket-taker in the history of the WTC.
