India emerged victorious over Pakistan in their Women's Asia Cup T20 match held at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla on Friday. Shafali Verma, scoring 40 runs off 29 balls, and Smriti Mandhana, with 45 runs off 31 balls, established a strong 85-run opening partnership to successfully chase down Pakistan's total of 109 runs.

In the bowling department, Deepti Sharma stood out by taking three wickets, supported by Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh, and Shreyanka Patil who each claimed two wickets. Deepti finished with figures of 3 for 20, while Renuka contributed 2 for 14. Vastrakar, although slightly expensive, managed to take 2 wickets for 31 runs.
