Some serious power hitting from the Sri Lankan all-rounder seals the win for the visitors.

South African legend Hashim Amla made an unbeaten 72, while Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera played a stellar knock of 47 at the end, to help World XI beat Pakistan by seven wickets in the second T20I match of the ongoing Independence Cup at at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday.

Pakistan, who won the toss and elected to bat, made 174-6. Babar Azam (45), Ahmed Shehzad (43) and Shoaib Malik (39) had good starts but none of them went on to score big, as Pakistan found it tough going on a slow and low pitch.

For the World XI Sri Lankan paceman Thisara Perera and West Indian spinner Samuel Badree claimed two wickets apiece.
