With India vs Australia Test series past halfway stage, there is no telling who will take the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. However, one thing can be said safely- Virat Kohli is not getting much love from the Australia fans.
Virat Kohli, known for his aggressive nature on the field, has been subjected to boos and chants from sections of Australian fans.
During the third Test match at the MCG, Virat again got some hostile reaction from the crowd. When Australia were batting, Virat was subjected to chants of 'you are a w*****r' from Bay 13 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, according to media reports.
However, the Indian captain, who infamously raised his middle finger to acknowledge the crowd back in 2012, had a much more classy reply ready for the Australian fans.
The world's best batsman doffed his cap and bowed to the fans.
The chant seems to be popular among Aussie fans. In a recent video shared by the BCCI, KL Rahul had also revealed that he was also subjected to similar chants during the 2014-15 tour.
Virat scored 82 runs in the Indian first innings including a crucial 170-run stand with centurion Cheteshwar Pujara.
