Team India skipper Virat Kohli starred again for the hosts with an unbeaten knock of 77 as his innings and his partnership with Hardik Pandya helped give their team some respectability to the score after they lost three wickets in the powerplay, again, for the second time in this T20I series.
India were in deep trouble at 86/5 in 14.3 overs and were staring at another low first innings score at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in the third T20I. However, skipper Virat Kohli was slowly getting into his groove and exploded in the final five overs.
Kohli brought up his half-century and he took apart England's best bowler on the day, Mark Wood. He smashed two sixes and a four to take India's score above 120.
Hardik Pandya on the other end too hit a couple of sixes as the duo stitched a 50-run partnership. A couple of more lusty blows from the skipper and India went beyond 150-run mark as a 33-ball 70-run partnership between both the batsmen helped India post a respectable total after a horror start.
