Umesh Yadav bagged his maiden 10-wicket haul during Day three of the ongoing second Test between India and West Indies in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Yadav was India’s just second fast bowler to clinch a 10-for in a home Test in nearly two decades after Javagal Srinath being the previous one who had registered figures of 13 for 122 against Pakistan at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Overall, Yadav was only the third Indian pacer with a 10-wicket haul in the longest format at home after Srinath and Kapil Dev. The former Indian captain also registered this milestone against Pakistan with figures of 11 for 146 in Chennai in 1980.

Yadav, who was included in the playing XI only because Hardik Pandya got injured, has thoroughly justified his selection with figures of 10 for 133 as the West Indies were bundled out for 127 in the third innings and left the hosts with a mere target of 72 runs.
