Delhi Daredevils' new captain Shreyas Iyer scored 93 not out off 40 balls and took his overall runs tally to 244 in seven matches to rise to the seventh spot in the race for IPL 2018 Orange Cap.
Chennai Super Kings' Ambati Rayudu remained at the top in the list of batsmen with most runs in IPL 2018. Rayudu leads the race for IPL 2018 Orange Cap with 283 runs in 6 matches.
However, he is just three runs ahead of Royal Challengers Banglore's AB de Villiers who has 280 runs off six matches.
Kings XI Punjab opener KL Rahul is fourth. Rahul has scored 268 runs so far. At fifth place is Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson scoring 259 runs in seven innings.
Chris Gayle is at sixth with 252 runs while RCB skipper Virat Kohli is 3 runs behind the explosive Windies batsman with 249 runs.
Rajasthan Royals’ wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson remains eighth with 239 runs followed by Mumbai Indians' Suryakumar Yadav (230) and Delhi's Rishab Pant (227).
On Friday, Iyer led from the front as Delhi beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 55 runs at the Ferozshah Kotla Stadium to register their second win in seven games this season.
Iyer helped DD to their highest total (219/4) of the season. In reply, Dinesh Karthik's KKR could only score 164/9 in their 20 overs.
