Virat Kohli earned the right to don the Orange Cap after Matchday 11 of IPL 2018 on Tuesday. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli made 92 not off 62 balls against Mumbai Indians to take his tally to 201 runs in 4 matches. He went Rajasthan's Sanju Samson who has scored 178 runs in three matches so far.
Virat Kohli also became the highest run scorer in Indian Premier League history on Tuesday. Kohli overtook Chennai's Suresh Raina (4,558 runs) when he reached 32. Rohit Sharma is the next batsman in the list with 4,345 runs, followed by Gautam Gambhir (4,210) and David Warner (4,014).
However, Kohli's knock was in vain as Mumbai beat Bangalore by 46 runs to register their first win in four IPL 2018 encounters. Chasing 214 to win, Bangalore could only score 167/8 in their 20 overs.
