One of the biggest reasons why fans are waiting with bated breath for the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is because the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be making a comeback.
CSK is arguably the most loved team in the T20 tournament's history, and much of the credit for that has to go to one man - Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The most successful Indian captain ever, MSD has taken CSK to two IPL titles in the past.
Dhoni relinquished his role as Indian skipper in all three formats a while ago. Thus, fans are super excited to see 'Captain Cool' marshal his troops once again.
One of the most alluring aspects about Mahi over the years has been his ability to control his emotions irrespective the situation. His calm and cool demeanour has carried him, and the teams he has represented, in good stead throughout his illustrious career.
Having said that, in a rare instance, Dhoni shared some deep emotions during a CSK event recently. The franchise is making a comeback to IPL after serving a two-year ban for its part in a spot-fixing scandal.
Reflecting on the hiatus, Dhoni was almost in tears as he spoke in front of a packed auditorium. "What's important is to go through everything with a smile on your face but what's next is what is important for us. We are back, we are back," Mahi was heard saying in a short clip shared on Twitter.

Seeing Dhoni overwhelmed with emotions, his long-time team-mate and dear friend Suresh Raina sprang up and offered him some water. Mahi and Raina have been the top performers for the Men In Yellow, and it is, perhaps, this bonhomie within the CSK camp that has helped create such a strong fan base for them.
