Shivam Dube was sold for a whopping Rs 5 crore to RCB in IPL 2019 auction in December.

IPL 2019: Shivam Dube, who was one of the stories of IPL auction 2019, was handed his Indian Premier League debut during the Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match on Saturday. The youngster was sold for a whopping Rs 5 crore to RCB in IPL 2019 auction in December.

Dube came to limelight after Sunil Gavaskar picked him out for special praise in his column. Gavaskar termed Dube the cleanest hitting left-hander in India since Yuvraj Singh.  He made his Twenty20 debut for Mumbai in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 18 January 2016. He made his List A debut for Mumbai in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017. Dube is a hard-hitting medium pace all-rounder. In his debut season for Mumbai in 2017, Dube scored 454 runs and bagged 21 wickets, including two tons and two five-wicket hauls. In 2018 too, he continued his great form.
