With the official auction just days away, the hype for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is well and truly underway with all the eight teams officially announcing their retained and released players ahead of the upcoming season.
Kings XI Punjab will be looking forward to the upcoming IPL season with fresh hopes after making some significant changes to their last year's squad.
The Punjab side is still yet to win the IPL title and has failed to qualify for the top four multiple times in previous 11 seasons. However, reaching the final of the tournament in 2014 still remains their best-ever finish.
KXIP have made some key changes to its squad and have traded off its skipper from the last season, Ravichandran Ashwin, to Delhi Capitals for Rs. 1.5 crore and left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith.
The team also swapped out Ankit Rajpoot to Rajasthan Royals in return for Krishnappa Gowtham. Opener KL Rahul will be heading the side going into the 2020 season according to reports.
